For maximum exploitation of Quick Fire, it is important to use dry logs for your wood burning stove. Avoid using newspapers, milk cartons, etc. – they release pollutants and generate more ash in your stove. 

For your barbecue, a chimney starter is by far the preferred method for quick and efficient lighting. Place 3 or 4 Quick Fire sachets at the bottom of your chimney starter cone and, app. 25 minutes later, your charcoals will be ready for use. By thus avoiding old newspapers and lighter fluid, your meat will be free of any aftertaste.
